A Brief Update

Well, my throat has finally made a complete recovery, I'm sleeping well, and the weather has cooled off a bit. Unfortunately, finals are just around the corner, and I still have three papers to write. Aye.

But that doesn't mean I can't have fun! In fact, this week has been loads of fun! Monday we went to Canterbury and from there to Leeds Castle. I can't say I was impressed with Canterbury after seeing the likes of St. Paul's and Westminster Abbey, but I loved the grounds at Leeds Castle.

Tuesday we went to the Imperial War museum, which was quite interesting.

Wednesday we all rode the London Eye and got a spectacular view of the city. That night I had my first plate of Fish & Chips at a pub and then went to see Les Miserables.

Today we're going to the Cabinet War rooms, and then tomorrow we take a day trip to Oxford. I'm hoping to get some time in this weekend to revisit the Stables Market, because there were some things I wanted to check out there. Though that does mean I'll have to brave the crowds from Portobello Market.

Anyway, that's a very breif summary of this week's events, since I'm pretty much out of time. I swear, there's just not enough time to really work at this thing. I guess I'll end up making a great big overview of the whole trip when I get back. Though with mippa gone fishing this weekend, who will brighten my day in this otherwise dreary city? *overdramatic pose*
